David Scott (1950-) is a police inspector who served as area commander for Palmerston North, New Zealand, and contested the Palmerston North seat in the 2002 election as a member of the National Party. Palmerston North (Te Papa-i-oea is the main city of the Manawatu-Wanganui region of the North Island of New Zealand.
