Darrers Stores was a supermarket/department store which existed in Waterford, Dungarvan, Tramore and Carlow, in the Republic of Ireland. Carlow ( is an inland Town in the south-east of Ireland in County Carlow, 84 km from Dublin. Ireland ( Irish: Éire, ˈeːrʲə is a country in north-western Europe. In Waterford, the plastic shopping bag became synonymous with Darrers Stores. Many of the older generation to this day still refer to any plastic shopping bag as a "Darrers Bag".
