Daniel James Curtin (4 February 1898 – 4 February 1980) was an Australian politician. Born in Sydney, he was educated at a Catholic primary school before becoming a boilermaker and organiser of the Boilermakers' Society. Sydney Max Falstein ( 30 May 1914 &ndash 18 May 1967) was an Australian politician In Politics, an independent is a Politician who is not Affiliated with any Political party. Curtin won the seat, which he held until 1955, when he transferred to the seat of Kingsford-Smith. The Division of Kingsford Smith is an Australian Electoral Division in the state of New South Wales. He held Kingsford-Smith until 1969, when he retired from politics. Curtin died on his birthday in 1980. [1]
