Born in Long Beach, California of Irish and Swedish extraction, Lungren now calls Gold River his home, although he is described in some press reports as "R-Folsom". Congressional career
Lungren has said his desire to serve in Congress was rekindled by the September 11, 2001 attacks. Notable voting history
On July 21st, 2007, Lungren voted YES [6] to the controversial "USA PATRIOT and Terrorism Prevention Reauthorization Act" [7], renewing the Federal Government's ability to perform secret surveillance including wiretaps of citizens and monitoring of public and private computer packet-switched networks.
