Biography
Doyle took singing, guitar and clarinet lessons as a child, and released her debut album, Shadows Wake Me, in 1996. The lead single, "A List of Things", was a hit on the Canadian pop charts, and the album garnered a Juno Award nomination and several East Coast Music Award nominations for Doyle. The Juno Awards are presented annually to Canadian Musical Artists and bands to acknowledge their artistic and technical achievements in all aspects of music The East Coast Music Awards is an annual awards ceremony based in Atlantic Canada for music appreciation on the East Coast of Canada.
In 2000, Doyle released her follow-up album, Hyperdramatic. She scored another pop hit with "Tattooed", which had a particularly memorable video featuring Doyle dismembered and slowly trying to reassemble her scattered body parts. "Never Too Late", directed by Rob Heydon was nominated for Video of the Year at the East Coast Music Awards.
