Dallas Love Field Station will be a future DART light rail station located near Dallas Love Field airport where the Green Line (future) and Orange Line (future) light rail systems will be constructed. This station was proposed to be an underground one under the airport (much like DART's Cityplace Station), but that would be vastly more expensive, and a 2004 study showed that it would probably raise the cost-per-passenger estimates well beyond acceptable levels and jeopardize the federal grant, so City of Dallas officials and the transit agency agreed to make it a surface-level station on March 12, 2007.
