Dae Gak was born as Robert Genther in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1947. Su Bong ( January 7 1943 — July 17 1994) was a Soen Sa Nim in the Kwan Um School of Zen, the designated heir of Seung Springfield is a City in and the County seat of Hampden County, Massachusetts, United States. He first developed his interest in Zen Buddhism in 1969, the same year that he graduated from American International College in Springfield.
