Daddy Dewdrop was an American novelty song studio group, whose lead singer was Richard Monda born Cleveland, Ohio, 1952, backed up by some studio musicians. A novelty song is a silly or nonsensical Song, performed principally for its comical effect. Cleveland is a City in the US state of Ohio and the County seat of Cuyahoga County, the most populous county in the state Monda had writen the song "Chick-A-Boom" for the cartoon, Sabrina and the Groovie Goolies. The word cartoon has various meanings based on several very different forms of Visual art and Illustration. Groovie Goolies, created in 1970 was a take off of Filmation 's wildly popular The Archie Show with a monster bent The song was picked up by Sunflower Records, who came up with the name Daddy Dewdrop and released a full album of joke tunes, including a rewritten "Chick-A-Boom" which interpolated the tune "John Jacob Jingleheimerschmitt" and was retitled "Chick-A-Boom (Don't Ya Jes' Love It)". Sunflower Records was a Los Angeles California -based Record label founded by Songwriter Mack David and Music industry veteran Danny The tune was a hit in the US, peaking on the Billboard Pop Singles chart at #9 in 1971.
