DJ Flare is an influential scratch dj with many vinyl releases. A disc jockey (also known as DJ or deejay) is a person who selects and plays recorded music for an audience Flare was a member of the seminal turntablist group the Invisibl Skratch Piklz, appearing in many of their Turntable TV videos. The Invisibl Skratch Piklz were a group of American / Filipino turntablists. He releases battle records under the pseduonym "Butchwax" on the Thud Rumble and Dirtstyle Records labels. He is also acclaimed for inventing the "Flare Scratch", a scratching technique in which a sound is split in two parts. "Scratching" is also a Present participle of " Scratch " and may also refer to a form of street art Scratching He recently released a scratch DVD called "Magnifying Glass. "
