DESMO is an abbreviation for Ducati Enthusiast Sport Motorcycle Organization, a motorcycle enthusiast community for Ducati motorcycle riders who reside in the northeast USA. History
The founding contributor is listed as Gary Gordon, starting a member email list in May of 2000.
As the popularity of the community grew, a separate website was launched to coordinate group rides, communal oil change parties ("Oil Spills"), track days, regular socials and an annual dinner. Through consistency and stability, DESMO has managed to receive sponsorship from Ducati N. A. and various businesses in the area.
