Cynthia Rowley is an American fashion designer. The United States of America —commonly referred to as the Fashion design is the Applied art dedicated to Clothing and lifestyle Accessories created within the cultural and social influences of a specific time A native of Illinois, Rowley graduated from Barrington High School in Barrington, Illinois and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The State of Illinois ( roughly ill-i-NOY is a state of the United States of America, the 21st to be admitted to the Union. Barrington High School may be in reference to Barrington High School (Lake County Illinois Barrington High School (Barrington Rhode Island Barrington is a village in Cook County, Illinois and Lake County Illinois. The School of the Art Institute of Chicago is one of America's premiere fine arts colleges located in Chicago, Illinois.

Over the years, the Cynthia Rowley Collection has grown to include women's wear, shoes, handbags, eyewear, belts, dishes, baby gear, legwear, hats, color cosmetics, wiffle balls, and fragrance. It is sold in Cynthia Rowley shops in New York, Chicago, East Hampton, Japan, and Taiwan, and in the Cynthia Rowley online boutique. Shops in Hong Kong and mainland China are opening soon. The Collection is also represented in better department and specialty stores both domestically and internationally.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America honored Rowley with the New Fashion Talent Award and a nomination for the Perry Ellis Award for New Menswear Design Talent. The Council of Fashion Designers of America is a non-profit Trade group for American Fashion designers founded in 1962.

Rowley has appeared as a judge on the reality television programs Project Runway and Design Star and has been a guest on The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and the Late Show with David Letterman, among other programs. Project Runway is a Peabody Award -winning American Reality television series on the Bravo network which focuses on Fashion design. HGTV Design Star is an American reality competition show that airs on the Cable television network HGTV. Today, also referred to as The Today Show, is an American morning news and talk show airing weekday mornings on NBC. Good Morning America ( GMA) is a morning news show that is broadcast on the ABC television network debuting on November The Oprah Winfrey Show is a United States syndicated Talk show, hosted and produced by its namesake Oprah Winfrey, and is the highest-rated The Late Show with David Letterman is an Emmy Award -winning American late-night Talk show hosted by David Letterman on CBS Her latest book, Slim: A Fantasy Memoir, was released in May 2007.

She was married to writer Bill Powers in 2005. She has two daughters.
