Crossing East is a documentary series for public radio produced by Dmae Roberts and MediaRites and is hosted by George Takei (from Star Trek fame) and Margaret Cho, the sometimes controversial stand-up comedian. George Hosato Takei (born April 20, 1937) is an American actor of Japanese descent best known for his role in the TV series Star Trek Margaret Cho born Moran Cho She has won awards for her humanitarian efforts on behalf of women Asians and the LGBT community Covering Asian immigration from pre-nationhood to post-911, the series of eight one-hour documentaries delves into the many waves of Asian immigration into the United States and their impact on the making of America. The series also investigates the global implications of Asia-America immigration. The program's distribution partner is Public Radio International.
