Crawling peg is an exchange rate regime usually seen as a part of fixed exchange rate regimes which allows depreciation or appreciation in an exchange rate gradually. The exchange rate regime is the way a country manages its Currency in respect to foreign currencies and the Foreign exchange market. A fixed exchange rate, sometimes called a pegged exchange rate, is a type of Exchange rate regime wherein a Currency 's value is matched to the value of Depreciation is a term used in Accounting, Economics and Finance to spread the cost of an Asset over the span of several years Appreciation is a term used in Accounting relating to the increase in value of an Asset.
