Craig Norgate is best known as the first Chief Executive Officer of dairy company Fonterra. Fonterra is a Multinational New Zealand company and New Zealand's largest company by turnover

An accountant, he is currently a director of PGG Wrightson Limited and Managing Director of Rural Portfolio Investments Limited, which owns 30 percent of the shares in PGG Wrightson.

He is also director of Westgate Port Taranaki Limited, Dexcel Limited, Aotearoa Fisheries Limited, Sealord Group Limited, and a member of the Government’s Growth and Innovation Advisory Board, the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology, and the Advisory Board for the Auckland Regional Council’s Economic Development Unit.

Prior to his involvement in Rural Portfolio Investments, Craig had 15 years experience as a leader in the New Zealand dairy industry, including two years as the inaugural CEO of Fonterra Co-operative Group and, prior to that, a number of years as CEO of Kiwi Co-operative Dairies Limited. He graduated from Massey University. Massey University (Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa is New Zealand 's largest university with almost 40000 students In 2005 Norgate won the New Zealand Herald Business Leader of the Year award.
