The village of Corpe, France, which has a population of a little over 700 (2005), is situated about 5km north of Luçon and 3 km south of Mareuil-sur-Lay, in the département of Vendée. The name Corpe is derived from an old French word for a crow 'Corp'. The main road from Luçon to La Roche sur Yon (D746) passes very close to the village, the A83 motorway is only 12km away and the beaches of south Vendée are less than 30 minutes by car.
