Redgrave was born in London, England, the son of actors Sir Michael Redgrave and Rachel Kempson (Lady Redgrave). London ( ˈlʌndən is the capital and largest urban area in the United Kingdom. Sir Michael Scudamore Redgrave CBE ( 20 March, 1908 — 21 March, 1985) was an English actor author director and Rachel Kempson Lady Redgrave ( 28 May, 1910 &ndash 24 May, 2003) was an English actress. He represents the third generation of an acting dynasty that now includes his daughter Jemma Redgrave in the fourth generation. Jemma Redgrave (born 14 January 1965) is a fourth-generation English actress. His son Luke Redgrave is also involved in filmmaking, as a camera operator and production assistant.
