In astrology, a contraparallel occurs when two planets or celestial bodies occupy the same degree, within 1 degree of orb, but the opposite declination. Astrology (from Greek grc ἄστρον astron, "constellation star" and grc -λογία -logia) is a group of Systems One planet will occupy a position north of the celestial equator and the other will occupy the same degree south of the celestial equator. The celestial equator is a Great circle on the imaginary Celestial sphere, in the same plane as the Earth 's Equator.
