Complexo do Alemão (Portuguese for German complex) is a group of favelas in northern Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Portuguese ( or língua portuguesa) is a Romance language that originated in what is now Galicia (Spain and northern Portugal. History

An article published by O Globo in 2007 ^[1] revealed the origin of Complexo do Alemão. O Globo is a Brazilian newspaper based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil After the World War I, a Polishman named Leonard Kaczmarkiewicz bought the land.
