Club Z is a private club found in the neighborhood of Oaksterdam in Oakland, California that sells cannabis and food containing cannabis to adults without prescriptions for medical marijuana. Oaksterdam is a cultural District on the north end of Downtown Oakland California where Medical cannabis in a variety of competitively-priced smokeable The club is named after Measure Z, which makes the private sales, cultivation, and possession of cannabis the lowest police priority and mandates that Oakland tax and regulate cannabis as soon as possible under state law. The club is one of several locations in the Oakland neighborhood that sells cannabis in plant and food form. Club Z only allows adults to become members and only after an interview is one considered. Members are allowed to inspect different strains of marijuana before purchasing it and a recent New York Times video has highlighted the Club's middle and working class clientele.
