Early life

Anderson was educated at Harrow County School for Boys in Middlesex,[3] where his group of friends included Michael Portillo. Harrow High School is a state Secondary school in the London Borough of Harrow in the north-west of London. Middlesex is one of the 39 historic counties of England and the second smallest by area. Anderson was involved in the fledgling alternative comedy scene in the early 1980s and was the first act to come on stage at The Comedy Store when it opened in 1979. Anderson lives in Highbury, north London, with his wife and three children; Isabella, Flora and Edmund. Highbury is an area in the London Borough of Islington.
