Claire Sproule (born 10 April 1985) is a singer-songwriter from County Donegal in Ireland. She was born in Derry into a musical family; her uncle is Dáithí Sproule of Altan. Dáithí Sproule (born May 23, 1950) is an Irish Guitarist and Singer of traditional Irish music Altan are an Irish Folk and traditional music group who originated in Gweedore, County Donegal. After playing the clarinet for some time, she showed an interest in guitar, having been brought up listening to Tom Waits, Joni Mitchell and Elvis Costello in Derry and Donegal. After leaving school, she began by Eva Cassidy songs in local pubs in Donegal, before starting to sing her won songs. Other Voices is a Music television show broadcast on RTÉ television ( RTÉ Two) in Ireland, usually on a wednesday night The Late Late Show is the world's longest-running Chat show and officially the flagship television programme of Irish broadcasting company [4]

Her Myspace page states she has finished recording her second album and it is being mixed and mastered. The album is entitled Shades of Night and is due out summer 2008.
