Christopher Collier, known as Kit, is the son of Edmund Collier, a writer, and Katherine Brown. He comes from a family of writers and teachers. He attended Clark University and Columbia University, (PhD 1964). Clark University is a private University and Liberal arts college in Worcester Massachusetts. Columbia University is a private University in the United States and a member of the Ivy League.
