Club career

A striker, Holst started his career at Danish lower division teams Thurø and Svendborg before moving to Lyngby Boldklub in 2003. Thurø is a Danish island to the south of Funen. The island is shaped like a horseshoe and has a couple of thousand inhabitants Lyngby Boldklub is a Danish football club founded in 1921 It is based at Lyngby Stadion in Kongens Lyngby, Denmark. In 2004 he was named Profile of the Year in the Danish 2nd Division by the Danish Football Players Association (Spillerforeningen). The 2nd Division is the third tier Danish football league just after the 1st Division. [2]

Holst made his debut for the Faroe Islands in 2003, being born to a Danish father and a Faroese mother. The Faroe Islands national football team is the national football team of Faroe Islands and is controlled by the Faroe Islands Football Association.
