She has worked for Kyōdō Television since graduating from university, and began her career as a TV announcer initially using her Japanese name, Masami Takigawa. She later changed to her current name, Christel Takigawa. Although she works for Kyōdō Television, she appears exclusively on Fuji Television programmes. is a Japanese Television station based in Daiba, Minato Tokyo, Japan, also known as or CX.
Currently, she appears on the Japanese news TV programme, FNN News Japan, on which she started in 2002,[2] and Shin Hōdō Premier A, which started in 2007.
