Chris Vitali (born 1974) is an American musician. Known for his flamboyant style of playing the bass guitar, Vitali has played in numerous bands in the New York City rock scene since 1990. The electric bass guitar (also called electric bass, or simply bass; ˈbeɪs as in "base" is a Stringed instrument played primarily with the The City of New York Most notably, he was the bassist for NYC hard rock act Orange 9mm from 1996-1999. Orange 9mm was a Post-hardcore band from New York City formed in 1994 by Chaka Malik and Chris Traynor after the breakup His other projects have included Hermaphrochrist, Burn, Head Assembly, and The Fuzz (not to be confused with the 70's musical act The Fuzz). Burn is a New York hardcore band which began in 1988 playing what could be considered progressive hardcore music with introspective lyrics The Fuzz was an American vocal trio from Washington DC. They started out in 1970 as The Passionettes, but changed their name when they signed to Calla Records
Vitali also has numerous studio credits to his name, most recently working with ex-Flaw singer Chris Volz on his new solo album. Flaw is an Alternative metal / Nu metal music group from Louisville, Kentucky. Chris Volz is an American Alternative metal / Hard rock Singer. [1][2]
