Chorthippus brunneus, the common field grasshopper, is a species of grasshopper found across Europe, much of Asia and North Africa [1]. Early life Thunberg was born at Jönköping, and became a pupil of Carolus Linnaeus at Uppsala University. Very hairy below the thorax. Song consist of short shirps like time-signal pips.
