Chorthippus brunneus, the common field grasshopper, is a species of grasshopper found across Europe, much of Asia and North Africa ^[1]. Early life Thunberg was born at Jönköping, and became a pupil of Carolus Linnaeus at Uppsala University. In Biology, a species is one of the basic units of Biological classification and a Taxonomic rank. Grasshoppers are Insects of the suborder Caelifera in the order Orthoptera. North Africa or Northern Africa is the Northernmost Region of the African Continent, separated by the Sahara from Sub-Saharan It is common in mostly dry and often sparse grassland, from the beginning of summer until October. Very hairy below the thorax. Song consist of short shirps like time-signal pips.
