Chociwel [xɔˈt​͡ɕivɛl] (German: Freienwalde) is a town in Poland, in West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in Stargard County. The German language (de ''Deutsch'') is a West Germanic language and one of the world's major languages. Poland (Polska officially the Republic of Poland West Pomeranian Voivodeship (also known by its Polish name of województwo zachodniopomorskie or simply Zachodniopomorskie) is a voivodeship Stargard County (powiat stargardzki is a unit of territorial administration and local government ( Powiat) in West Pomeranian Voivodeship, north-western Poland It has 3,279 inhabitants (2004).

Prior to World War II Chociwel was in Germany and known as Freienwalde. World War II, or the Second World War, (often abbreviated WWII) was a global military conflict which involved a majority of the world's nations, including It had a population of 3,406 in 1939. After the death and dislocation associated with the war, its population was down to 402 in 1946. [1]
