Chief Blahsue Vonleh (1880? – September 28, 1947) was Paramount Chief of the Doe Clan, Nimba County, Liberia, West Africa from 1920 until his death in 1947. Paramount Chief Vonleh was born in Zuaplay located in Nimba County, West Africa around 1865. County administration Nimba County is one of fifteen political subdivisions of Liberia Chief Vonleh was a great leader of his people and fought many tribal battles in defense of his clan. He was made Paramount Chief around the 1930’s based on his valor and fearless battlefield abilities. This powerful man hailed from the Dan tribe; mainly situated in the northern part of Liberia.

The leadership tradition has been past on from one generation to another. The Vonleh Village, named in his honor; is still in existence today in Liberia headed by Chief Tarkpour Vonleh; who has taken the reign from his father after his death in the September 28, 1947.

Chief Vonleh attended the inauguration of Liberia's 19th President, William V.S. Tubman, as member of the tribal delegate in 1944 in the capital of Monrovia. William Vacanarat Shadrach Tubman ( November 29, 1895 &ndash July 23, 1971) was a Liberian politician There are many decedents of Chief Vonleh in Liberia and the United States.
