The village is located between Bakewell and Buxton. Bakewell is a small Market town in Derbyshire, England, deriving its name from 'Badeca's Well' Buxton is a Spa town in Derbyshire, England. In recent years, the village has undergone a rapid transition from an insular rural entity into a commuters' dormitory. The village shop has closed, and redundant agricultural barns have been converted into houses.
