The Chattering Lory, Lorius garrulus is a forest-dwelling parrot endemic to North Maluku, Indonesia. Carl Linnaeus (Latinized as Carolus Linnaeus, also known after his ennoblement as, May 23 new style (13 May old style 1707 who laid the foundations for North Maluku ( Maluku Utara) is a province of Indonesia. It covers the northern part of the Maluku Islands, which are split between it and The Republic of Indonesia ( (Republik Indonesia is a Country in Southeast Asia. It is considered endangered, the main threat being from trapping for the cage-bird trade.
The race flavopalliatus is known as the Yellow-backed Lorikeet.
