Prior to working on mammalian taste, his lab focused on signal transduction pathways in vision, using Drosophila genetics. Zuker is a member of the National Academy of Sciences. He is an investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. His laboratory is located at the University of California, San Diego. Education and training
