The following is a list of characters in the American animated television series Metalocalypse. The Tribunal

In every episode, an Illuminati-style group of eight men are shown meeting together to discuss Dethklok's latest activities and the dangers they pose. "Illuminata" redirects here For the 1998 John Turturro film see Illuminata (film. In their first meeting, all they know is the information given in the show's theme song (word for word), but they learn much more through research on fansites and other resources. At the first meeting, they mention that Dethklok's lineup resembles figures in an ancient Sumerian prophecy. General Crozier states, "If they're the ones we think they are, I think we should exterminate them immediately," implying that there may be more to Dethklok than an insanely popular band with an appetite for destruction. This may or may not relate to the prophecy, as Ravenwood felt the need to remind the other members about it. The episode "The Metalocalypse Has Begun" suggests that the ultimate event in the prophecy is an "apocalypse of metal. "

The group meets in a room dominated by nine television sets stacked in a three-by-three square, which usually functions as one big TV but will divide to illustrate various points. The screens show news reports, Dethklok footage, background profiles, and other useful information. The meeting room seems to be underground, as it has no windows and no visible doors. A section of the wall opens to allow people to enter and exit. There are also several adjoining rooms. On the wall is a logo depicting an eagle sitting on top of the world.

The group's briefings are led by Senator Stampingston, who usually has experts (who often bear ridiulously complicated names) speak based on whatever Dethklok is doing in the episode. The group has both military (General Crozier) and religious (Cardinal Ravenwood) leaders in its rank, among others. At its head is Mr. Selatcia, a gray-haired man who sits in a throne in the center. There are four other members, but none of them have been named and only one of them has spoken so far (requesting to go to the United States Pornography Awards, along with Stampingston, Crozier, and Ravenwood). Behind the sitting members of the Tribunal are monitors showing the faces of eight more men appearing via Video Conferencing. In the second season, the briefing room has been completely overhauled. Rather than the multi-screen setup they previously had, a single TV of equal size is used. The room is also circular in shape, and the logo is now placed on the front side of the briefing table. Finally, the seating arrangement is slightly different: Selatcia's throne is higher up, with the monitors for the other eight men attached to it, and two more members have been added to the main table, not including Ravenwood's replacement.

Senator Stampingston

(Voiced by Mark Hamill) Senator Stampingston is the main speaker who reports on Dethklok's current activities. Mark Richard Hamill (born September 25, 1951) is an American Actor, Comedian and Voice actor. It is unknown what American state the senator represents, or whether he is just a past senator. He doesn't seem to have a seat, instead standing in front of the television sets. He has a diplomatic standpoint for the issues against Dethklok, often recommending espionage and other forms of information gathering. He keeps the most professional and calm attitude towards Dethklok; he knows they are a threat, but he never overreacts and he is rarely the one that comes up with ideas. When Nathan Explosion ascends to the office of govenor in Florida, he issues a "Purple Alert" which apparently did nothing but cause an annoying purple light to flash in the main briefing room with agitating sounds, much to the annoyance of the Tribunal.

General Crozier

(Voiced by Victor Brandt) Sitting on the far left, General Crozier is a United States Army 5 star General. Victor Brandt (born September 19 1942 in Los Angeles California) is an American actor mostly known for his voice over performances The United States Army is a military organization whose primary mission is to "provide necessary forces and capabilities. In the United States Army, United States Air Force, and United States Marine Corps, general is a four-star General officer rank Mr. Selatcia stated that his job within the Tribunal was gathering information and nothing more, although Crozier is not happy with this. He brings a military viewpoint to the Tribunal's dealings with Dethklok, and usually recommends military action, often in the form of assassination. However, Stampingston once pointed out that approximately half of the military are rabid Dethklok fans. Despite his desperation to destroy Dethklok, he usually has the most realistic predictions, sometimes questioning if certain things the band does are really that dangerous.

General Crozier goes against the Tribunal's wishes several times, first by sending an assassin to Mordhaus who tried to eliminate Dethklok and failed, and deploying an entire army to one of Dethklok's concerts to kill them in "The Metalocalypse Has Begun". He and Cardinal Ravenwood form an alliance in this endeavor. When Selatcia discovers this betrayal, he brutally kills Ravenwood but only puts Crozier to sleep, claiming he is still needed. Crozier returns with no memory of anything after the attack on Dethklok itself, but with strange nightmares of Ravenwood's death.

During a botched attempt to disrupt Dethklok's plans in the Amazon, Crozier's Osprey is shot down with the majority of the crew, along with several rainforest animals below. With nearly all of Orlaag's accompanying soldiers dead, Crozier stalks Dethklok across the Amazon river, but is eventually forced by the native Yaneemango Indians to partake in a drug known as yopo. He imagines the bloodied and disfigured Ravenwood again, along with the soldiers killed by Selatcia. The vision of Ravenwood says "Beware. . . General. . . General Crozier. . . you are death. " Although Crozier appears to survive, he seems to have gone slightly mad.

Though his actual status within the military is not elaborated upon aside from his rank, Crozier clearly has influence over much of the army's resources, as he was able to procure several platoons of soldiers, tanks, and fighter jets for an assault on one of Dethklok's concerts.

Of his medals, ribbons, and tabs, the only four that resemble actual awards are the Kuwait Liberation Campaign ribbon, the Special Forces Tab, the Ranger Tab, and Combat Infantryman Badge. The Wisam Al-Tahrir (وسام التحرير (Liberation Medal was issued by the government of Kuwait for service during the Liberation of Kuwait campaign The Special Forces Tab is a service school qualification tab of the United States Army, awarded to any soldier completing either the Special Forces Qualification Course The Ranger Tab is a service school military decoration of the United States Army signifying completion of the 61-day long U The Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB is an award of the United States Army which is presented to those officers warrant officers and enlisted soldiers in the grade With the exception of the Kuwait Liberation ribbon, General Crozier's campaign ribbons do not closely match any yet issued by any branch of the US military.

Cardinal Ravenwood

(Voiced by Victor Brandt) Cardinal Ravenwood is an elderly priest who has a religious perspective on the issues regarding Dethklok. Victor Brandt (born September 19 1942 in Los Angeles California) is an American actor mostly known for his voice over performances A cardinal is a senior ecclesiastical official usually a bishop, of the Catholic Church. Often, he claims to have had prophetic visions of the outcomes of Dethklok's current activities, though they don't seem to come true very often. Prophecy, generally describes the disclosing of Information that is not known to the Prophet by any ordinary means During the episode "Skwisklok," Ravenwood admits that he is looking forward to Skwisgaar's pay-per-view event, as he has taken up playing the guitar. He has dreams in which Selatcia speaks to him in an unknown language and interprets this as a sign that he would die. This prediction seems to be true in "The Metalocalypse Has Begun," when Selatcia telekinetically blinds him and causes his intestines to prolapse for his betrayal. The term psychokinesis (from the Greek ψυχή, "psyche" meaning mind soul heart or breath; and κίνησις, "kinesis" Prolapse literally means "To fall out of place" In Medicine, prolapse is a condition where organs such as the Uterus, fall down or slip out of place In the second season premiere, "Dethecution", Ravenwood is seen being tortured in the depths of Hell by Selatcia and the members of Dethklok while General Crozier watches, though it is unclear whether this scene was real or one of the nightmares General Crozier has been having. In "Dethcarraldo" he appears in General Crozier's hallucination with his eyes popped, his guts in his neck and surrounded by the soldiers that were killed by Selatcia. It is not clear whether he is trying to talk to Crozier or is it Crozier's memories coming back to him.

Vater Orlaag

(Voiced by Malcolm MacDowell) Vater Orlaag is introduced in the second episode of the second season. Malcolm McDowell (born Malcolm John Taylor; 13 June 1943 is an English Actor. Orlaag is described by Stampingston as "a political and spiritual specialist. " Orlaag appears to play a strong role in the tribunal, often giving his input during meetings and being present in the main chamber of Selatcia during a conference with Crozier. He bears a striking resemblance to famed Russian mystic Grigori Rasputin.

Mr. Selatcia

(Voiced by Mark Hamill) Mr. Mark Richard Hamill (born September 25, 1951) is an American Actor, Comedian and Voice actor. Selatcia is the eldest member of the Tribunal who sits in a throne in the center, is usually the last to speak, and always has the final word on what course of action the group will take. Oddly enough, he usually recommends inaction, ordering the Tribunal to allow what is occurring to take place undisturbed. General Crozier describes Selatcia's background as "murky. " Selatcia displays either supernatural or telekinetic powers in "The Metalocalypse Has Begun. " Having discovered the treachery of Crozier and Ravenwood, he telekinetically causes five soldiers' heads to instantly burst. He then turns on Ravenwood, bursting his eyes and causing his intestines to prolapse from his mouth. Prolapse literally means "To fall out of place" In Medicine, prolapse is a condition where organs such as the Uterus, fall down or slip out of place In contrast, he only puts Crozier to sleep, claiming he needs Crozier alive. He and Crozier's unconscious body then disappear with the surrounding fog before anyone can discover his presence. An interesting thing to note is that he has long fingernails, just like Robert De Niro's character "Louis Cyphre" (Lucifer) in Angel Heart. Robert Mario De Niro Jr (born August 17 1943 is a two-time Academy Award -winning American Film Actor, director and producer Angel Heart is a 1987 Film written and directed by Alan Parker, and starring Mickey Rourke, Robert De Niro and Lisa This, together with the scene from "Deathecution" might suggest that he is the Devil himself, or at least some lesser demon (the fingernails being claws shapeshifted into human form). In "P. R. Klok" it's suggested that he uses his powers to save Dethklok from being crushed by a comet when his face appears and his voice is heard right when the comet loses it's course and crashes into Dethklok's publicity tablet which breaks the comet into separate fragments none of which hits Dethklok.

Charles Foster Ofdensen

(Voiced by Brendon Small) Charles Foster Ofdensen (although his name was never stated through the first 19 episodes of the series, it is mentioned on the band's pain waiver [1] and is confirmed in "The Metalocalypse Has Begun") is Dethklok's manager, legal counsel, and CFO. Brendon Small (born February 15, 1975 in Springfield, Illinois) is an American stand-up comedian, actor composer and One might also notice that his initials spell this as well. He acts as the voice of reason against Dethklok's constant disregard of law and logic; Nathan Explosion even describes one of his jobs as talking the band out of the terrible ideas they come up with while drunk. The band (or Skwisgaar at least) considers him to be their "butler". Ofdensen's first appearance was in "Dethwater", where he talks to the band through a video monitor. He acts as manager, lawyer, and advisor to Dethklok, protecting the band against everything from slowing record sales to themselves. Ofdensen's first and middle names are taken from the character Charles Foster Kane, the protagonist of the movie Citizen Kane. Whilst at first glance he would appear to be sane and normal, in actuality he is a hardened professional who has just as much potential for violence as the band members themselves should the situation call for it, who tend to simply be unaffected by the violence they usually cause indirectly. In many cases Ofdensen has projected an outside appearance of being an ordinary and harmless manager, before changing attitude completely and ordering guards to perform acts of extreme violence, which they obey without any surprise or question. Indeed, he seems to have a private code with them when he informs to "Put the boots to him [Dr. Rockzo] medium style", and they proceed to beat their victim brutally but not kill him.

Ofdensen reacts with general apathy to the mayhem caused by Dethklok, his only concern seemingly being the legal or financial ramifications of their actions. Similarly, he shows little more than slight annoyance when the band insults him in one way or another. Despite his job description, Ofdensen usually supports Dethklok's violence when it doesn't happen in public view, when it solves their problems, or if the band is legally exempt from responsibility (like at their concerts). He has no problems leading two blackmail-threatening Dethklok fans to their deaths in "Mordland", even producing a half-grin while ordering their execution, and later allows the band to blame their rampant embezzlement from their own company on a recently-killed assassin. General Crozier warns Dr. Rockzo to "stay away from [Ofdensen]," indicating that there is more to him than a simple manager. In "The Metalocalypse Has Begun", this is seen to be true; he displays exceptional skill in close-quarters combat, single-handedly disarming and almost killing 216's brother, despite the latter being much more physically imposing. Close Quarters Battle ( CQB) or close quarters combat ( CQC) is a type of fighting in which small units engage the enemy with personal weapons at very Ofdensen broke the man's arm, stabbed him with his own knife while he was still holding it (using the broken arm), and kicked him into freezing waters. Ofdensen only sustained a shallow cut and a couple of hits himself. Ofdensen also set an army of Klokateers upon the military forces sent by Crozier. Ofdensen's knowledge of the conspiracies surrounding Dethklok is unknown. His office has a safe containing classified information; however, the contents of the safe are never seen. He also used high-tech surveillance to monitor the band's safety during their ill-fated performance of Dethwater at the Gulf of Danzig in the first season finale, and had an elaborate escape and counterstrike prepared when military forces attacked Dethklok. Dethklok's roadies

(Voiced by Brendon Small and Tommy Blacha) Dethklok's roadies are the brutal overseers of the band's various properties and concerts. Brendon Small (born February 15, 1975 in Springfield, Illinois) is an American stand-up comedian, actor composer and Tommy Blacha (born August 25, 1962) is an Emmy -nominated American comedy writer working for shows such as Da Ali G Show and Late Night "Roadie" redirects here For the 1980 movie see Roadie (film. They all wear black hoods and black uniforms, and in general resemble medieval executioners; the pilot of Dethklok's helicopter (known as the "hatredcopter") seems to be the exception (whom the band wrote a song about). In order to prove their loyalty to Dethklok, they have a Dethklok emblem branded onto the backs of their necks. Human branding is the process in which a mark usually a symbol or ornamental pattern is burned into the skin of a living person with the intention that the resulting scar makes it permanent They always refer to the members of Dethklok as "my lord(s)" or "my master(s)" (or in the case of the Mordhaus librarian, "sweetie") and are in turn referred to by their numeric designation. They are killed as frequently as any other people who come into contact with Dethklok; in the episode "Murdering Outside the Box", Skwisgaar mentions that Level 2 employees get a Viking funeral, though just what identifies them as such is unclear. The roadies faithfully do Dethklok's bidding, beating and/or killing whomever Dethklok or Ofdensen ask them to, as well as performing more mundane tasks such as cleaning up after the band and general maintenance. They will obey even the most nonsensical orders without question. In "Dethcarraldo", when one suggests abandoning the boat because it cannot move in shallow water, Nathan insists that they instead pull the boat over a nearby mountain, which the roadies dutifully obey at the cost of their lives. In "The Metalocalypse Has Begun", they also function as an army for the band, fighting with swords and other medieval weaponry despite the fact that they carry guns (50 caliber sniper rifles as well as handguns) in their estate, they've now upgraded to carry assault rifles and 50cal heavy machine guns. Dethklok's massive helicopters serve as troop transports for them, dropping hundreds at a time onto the battlefield. A dwarf employee's ability to fight on-par with a trained assassin in "Murdering Outside the Box" supports the idea that they're well-trained in this field.

Dethklok's roadies also seem to be the only people who can understand the often-incoherent band members. When microphone cleaner #421 is being interviewed by the band for an employee evaluation, he is asked by Pickles (reading a question Skwisgaar wrote) if he could answer what he "most can't the least". He answers "Do not a bad job, but always a good" which satisfies the band.

Curiously, the submarine used by Dethklok to record their underwater album was crewed by what appeared to be members of the Russian Navy, as opposed to the roadies seen at Mordhaus and elsewhere. (Voiced by Mark Hamill) Jean-Pierre is Dethklok's faithful chef, the most recent in a long line to cater to the band. Mark Richard Hamill (born September 25, 1951) is an American Actor, Comedian and Voice actor. A chef is a person who cooks professionally In a professional kitchen setting the term is used only for the one person in charge of everyone else in the kitchen the executive He is passionately loyal to his employers, having stated that he would rather have his "brain scooped out with a melon baller than miss the opportunity to "deliver the various cheese snacks to [his] beloved Dethklok", despite the job's inherent risks. Jean-Pierre was once a normal stereotypical French chef, but was mangled when a stray firework missile shot into the band's helicopter during a live performance. A stereotype (from Greek: stereo + týpos = "solid impression" is a generalized perception of first impressions behaviors presumed by a group A firework is classified as a low explosive pyrotechnic device used primarily for aesthetic and entertainment purposes History Since 400 AD Chinese children have played with bamboo flying toys. When the missile detonated, Jean-Pierre was thrown out of the helicopter and straight into the rotor blades. A helicopter rotor is the rotating part of a Helicopter which generates an aerodynamic Force. He was mangled to such an extent that his body was split into several pieces, making it necessary to connect them together via a complex and strange-looking machine in order to keep him alive, which cost Dethklok $10,000 a day. Dismemberment is the act of cutting tearing pulling wrenching or otherwise removing the limbs of a living thing After realizing that they couldn't feed themselves the band sewed him back together, albeit very poorly. The act gave Nathan inspiration for a song, aptly titled "Sewn Back Together Wrong," in addition to giving Jean-Pierre a hideous and mutilated appearance (some parts were sewn on backward). Despite the dubious quality of his reconstruction Jean-Pierre returned to work enthusiastically, and his current condition does not appear to have adversely affected his skills as a chef.

Jean-Pierre is indirectly responsible for the death of the Queen of Denmark; having been asked by Nathan to bake a "metal" cake for Murderface's birthday, he took the request literally and made a cake with mercury frosting. Dick "Magic Ears" Knubbler

(Voiced by Tommy Blacha) Dick Knubbler is a music producer sent to monitor Dethklok's album recording in the episode "Dethwater. Tommy Blacha (born August 25, 1962) is an Emmy -nominated American comedy writer working for shows such as Da Ali G Show and Late Night " Dethklok's label sent him to work with the band as a condition for allowing the band to record their new album in a submarine in the Mariana Trench. The Mariana Trench (or Mariana's Trench) is the deepest part of the world's Oceans and the deepest location on the surface of the Earth 's Knubbler has a long list of felonies, including tax evasion, disfiguring a co-worker's face with acid, and soliciting prostitution and drugs, all of which are supposed to lead to a 25-year sentence. Tax avoidance is the legal utilization of the Tax regime to one's own advantage in order to reduce the amount of tax that is payable by means that are within the law Prostitution is the act of performing Sexual activity in exchange for Money. The Tribunal acquired his services as a "man on the inside" to report on Dethklok's actions during the recording. After hearing the track "Murmaider" (with his eyes bleeding and glasses breaking due to the volume level), his tune changed, and he began praising Dethklok and the album, promising to report to the label upon his return to the surface. While traveling back in a bathysphere, he turned down his planned report to the Tribunal. A bathysphere is a Spherical deep-sea Submersible which is unpowered and is lowered into the ocean on a cable Afterwards, his attempt to escape a giant seahorse, mutated by leaking radioactive fuel from Dethklok's submarine, causes his eyes to explode from rapid decompression.

In cutaways from the end credits, a newspaper headline claims "New Dethklok Album is so awesome, it blinds Producer. " Another cutaway from a magazine cover shows Knubbler's supposed resurgence on the music scene, and details his eye surgery for his new "dark metal" robotic eyes. Eye surgery, also known as orogolomistician surgery or ocular surgery, is Surgery performed on the Eye or its Adnexa, typically by In the episode "Dethkomedy," Knubbler (with his new robotic eyes) makes a cameo in the crowd of Dethklok's court case, and is seen laughing at jokes made by the band. He returned in the episode "Dethkids," where he served as the producer for Murderface's long-awaited Planet Piss side project. In Popular music, a side project is a project undertaken by one or more persons already known for their involvement in another band In addition to their obvious sensory functions, Knubbler's robotic eyes can also look in multiple directions simultaneously, much like a chameleon's, which aids him in operating Dethklok's complicated, high-end mixers. Dr. Rockzo

(Voiced by Tommy Blacha) Dr. Tommy Blacha (born August 25, 1962) is an Emmy -nominated American comedy writer working for shows such as Da Ali G Show and Late Night Rockzo (the stage name of Leonard Rockstein) is the "rock 'n' roll clown". Clowns are comic performers stereotypically characterized by their Grotesque appearance colored wigs stylistic makeup, outlandish Costumes unusually He does cocaine, which he mentions quite loudly and frequently. He talks in a high-pitched voice, which every member of the band except Toki finds irritating. In the episode "Birthdayface," Dethklok hired him as entertainment for Murderface's birthday party, where he made him a Bootsy Collins Space Bass guitar out of balloons. Birthday is the name given to the date of the anniversary of a person's birth William "Bootsy" Collins (born October 26, 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is a Funk Bassist, Singer Not long after, Murderface snapped and began shoving the balloon bass down Rockzo's throat, before the Dethklok roadies beat the Doctor mercilessly, in this appearance he was voiced by Mark Hamill. Mark Richard Hamill (born September 25, 1951) is an American Actor, Comedian and Voice actor. In "Cleanzo", he makes Toki a large balloon in the shape of Toki's face and offers to make one for Nathan outside of a police station.

Dr. Rockzo made his proper return in "Dethklown", where he befriends Toki Wartooth. How they became friends isn't elaborated upon, though Toki says he thinks Dr. Rockzo is funny and he likes to laugh. The episode "Cleanzo" reveals that Toki has a childhood trust of clowns (he is shown as a child with clown/serial killer John Wayne Gacy), which partially explains his friendship with Dr. Rockzo. After Ofdensen throws him out of Mordhaus and orders the roadies to beat him, the Tribunal hires Dr. Rockzo to gather information about Dethklok from the inside. Rockzo succeeds in taking numerous pictures of Mordhaus, using a camera hidden in his hat, but is forced to flee when Ofdensen catches him opening a safe in the manager's office. He is last seen running out of the house and jumping through a window amid gunfire. Ofdensen opts not to have anyone kill him, ordering the roadies instead to "see where he goes. " He lived to report back to the Tribunal, but what he found was not revealed during the rest of the season. In "Cleanzo", a quick shot of his findings reveals that Dr. Rockzo gave the Tribunal Dethklok's stage layout at their Gulf of Danzig concert featured in "The Metalocalypse Has Begun". Dr. Rockzo reappears in the second-season episode "Cleanzo", which details his backstory. His real name is Leonard Rockstein, the trouble-making son of a physical therapist. He became the lead singer of Zazz Blammymatazz, a partying rock band named after the guitarist. They quickly became famous; however, Rockzo insisted on being paid in cocaine. His habit made him increasingly paranoid, once threatening his bandmates' lives over a temporarily missing banana, and he was fired from the group. After a short-lived solo career, he began his present life as a rock n' roll clown for hire. He was once briefly the star in a reality show, before stealing over 1,000 pounds of cocaine from a police storage facility and going into hiding. He ends up calling Toki for help, and the band attempts to rehabilitate him. Dr. Rockzo admits that not only does he use cocaine, but also huffs paint, uses crystal meth, heroin, pain pills, and Oxycontin before finally admitting "I do it all. Paint is any Liquid, liquifiable or mastic composition which after application to a substrate in a thin layer is converted to an opaque Solid Heroin ( INN: diacetylmorphine, BAN: diamorphine) is a semi-synthetic opioid synthesized from Morphine, a derivative Oxycodone is an Opioid Analgesic Medication synthesized from Thebaine. " Ofdensen insists on sending Rockzo to jail, though he lets the band get him therapy first. He also has Rockzo tortured again, this time with electro-shock, half-feigning ignorance after "walking in" on it. After the band successfully rehabilitates Dr. Rockzo, he agrees to turn himself in to the authorities. He does so, proudly proclaiming that he is 'Dr. Rockzo, the rock and roll clown. And I used to do cocaine. ' His nose falls off as the credits roll, though subsequent clips indicate he may have had it successfully reattached.

Rockzo seems to be an amalgam of parodies, covering much of rock and roll's most garish personalities, such as KISS, Twisted Sister, Axl Rose, Ozzy Osbourne, Justin Hawkins, and David Lee Roth. In addition, the band "Zazz Blammymatazz" is a parody of Roth's band Van Halen; the band's logo, history and photographs strongly resemble those of Van Halen, and Dr. Van Halen is a Hard rock band formed in in 1972 They enjoyed success from the release of their self titled debut album in 1978 Rockso is once shown with a broken arm, much like the photograph of Roth with a broken ankle on the back of Van Halen II. Van Halen II is the second Album by American Hard rock band Van Halen, released in 1979. After being fired from Zazz Blammymatazz, Dr. Rockzo had a short-lived solo career, as did David Lee Roth post-Van Halen. Dr. Rockzo's last name "Rockstein" bears a resemblance to the last name "Roth" which was changed from "Rothstein" when Roth's grandparents came to the United States. Dr. Rockzo is described as the "son of a physical therapist", whereas David Lee Roth's father was an ophthalmologist. Ophthalmology is the branch of Medicine which deals with the diseases and surgery of the visual pathways including the Eye, Brain The stutter Dr. Rockzo has resembles the stutter David Lee Roth uses while singing. "DR" is both the abbreviated form of "Doctor" and contains Roth's initials. Ironically, Roth does not share Dr. Rockzo's affinity for cocaine and named it as a drug that "kill[s] your creativity and your spirit" in a 1985 interview with Rolling Stone magazine. This line is very similar to the incident behind the title of the Guns N' Roses album "The Spaghetti Incident?". Guns N' Roses is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1985 "The Spaghetti Incident?" is the fifth album by Hard rock band Guns N' Roses. Dr. Rockso's spandex outfit is strikingly similar to the outfit worn by Justin Hawkins in The Darkness's Growing On Me video, and his addiction to cocaine and subsequent quitting of his band are also similar to Hawkins. Justin David Hawkins (born 17 March 1975 in Chertsey, Surrey, England) is an English Musician and Singer-songwriter, best " Growing on Me " is a song by the Glam metal band The Darkness from their album Permission to Land.

Dethklok's doctor

(Voiced by Jon Schnepp) Dethklok also meets a certain unnamed doctor twice in the first season. Jon Schnepp is an American producer director actor editor writer and cinematographer He is first shown talking to Dethklok about neutering the Fat Kid in "Fat Kid at the Detharmonic. Neutering, from the Latin neuter (of neither sex is the removal of an animal's Reproductive organ, either all of it or a considerably large part " He advises against their idea of neutering and suggests to Dethklok to lower the amount of sugar in his diet. To this, Pickles responded that they couldn't do that, as it would be Nazi-like. Nazism, which was a short name for National Socialism (Nationalsozialismus refers primarily to the Ideology and practices of the National Socialist German The doctor finally neuters the Fat Kid with much reluctance. Secondly, the doctor is shown in "Girlfriendklok," attending to Rebecca Nightrod after her accident. He tells Nathan "Well, she's in a coma, and if you want to talk to her, she can hear you. . . whatever. " Note that the doctor that appears in "Mordland," who is shown just before performing the procedure to replace Nathan's liver due to his excessive drinking, is a different doctor. He reappears in the season 2 episode "Dethfashion", telling the band that they've all put on twenty pounds since eating only one meal a day slowed down their metabolism and all the popsicles they've been ingesting are nothing but pure sugar. He also expresses concern over the fact that the enamel on Murderface's teeth has all but worn away, to which Murderface replies that it's because he's been throwing up all the food he's been eating. When the doctor states that this should result in weight loss and not gain, Muderface angrily retorts that he was immediately hungry again afterwards and ate more food. The doctor's catchphrase is "whatever" and usually accompanies whatever medical explanation he is giving.

Dethklok Minute Host

(Voiced by Tommy Blacha) A host of a gossip TV Show which has a segment called Dethklok minute which focuses on Dethklok's usual celebrity stunts such as TV appearances, movies, romances, rumors and other stunts. Tommy Blacha (born August 25, 1962) is an Emmy -nominated American comedy writer working for shows such as Da Ali G Show and Late Night He seems to be a parody of Billy Bush(host of Access Hollywood) and Mark Steines(host of Entertainment Tonight). William Hall "Billy" Bush (born October 13 1971) was the chief host/announcer of the syndicated NBC Universal TV show Access Hollywood is a weekday Television entertainment news program covering events and celebrities in the entertainment industry Mark Anthony Steines (born June 7 1964) is an American broadcast journalist and a co-anchor of the syndicated Gossip and entertainment round-up Entertainment Tonight is a daily Television entertainment news show that is syndicated by CBS Television Distribution throughout the United

The Assassin

(Voiced by George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher) Agent 216's brother is a psychotic sociopath who wears a metal mask, first seen in a slaughterhouse surrounded by dismembered people hanging from hooks (a reference to the song "Meat Hook Sodomy" by Corpsegrinder's band Cannibal Corpse), including one live person he was in the middle of cutting open. George "CorpseGrinder" Fisher (born December 29, 1969) is the Vocalist for the American Death metal band Cannibal Corpse General Crozier recruits him for the assault on the Dethwater concert, supposedly so he can avenge his brother's death, although Crozier has ulterior motives. As he prepares to kill Skwisgaar and Toki, he himself is seriously wounded by Ofdensen (his right arm broken, stabbed in the kidney, and kicked into a body of water).

He returns in the episode "Dethvengeance", alive but now wearing a metal support for his formerly broken arm. He brutally tortures one of Dethklok's roadies for information, but despite tearing off the roadie's arm and plucking out one of his eyes, the man laughs and explains that he'd just taken a cyanide pill. A cyanide is any Chemical compound that contains the cyano group (C≡N which consists of a Carbon Atom triple-bonded to a The roadie's head was then crushed by 216's brother in his anger. "Roadie" redirects here For the 1980 movie see Roadie (film. He captures Edgar Jomfru (floating on his unconscious cellmate, a fan imprisoned for illegal downloading), who escaped from Dethklok's underground prison, in order to discover a way to infiltrate Mordhaus.

The Jomfru Brothers

Edgar Jomfru (voiced by Brendon Small) and his brother Eric (voiced by Tommy Blacha) are the proprietors of diefordethklok. Brendon Small (born February 15, 1975 in Springfield, Illinois) is an American stand-up comedian, actor composer and Tommy Blacha (born August 25, 1962) is an Emmy -nominated American comedy writer working for shows such as Da Ali G Show and Late Night com, a Dethklok fan site run out of Sandusky, Ohio. Sandusky is a city in the US state of Ohio and the County seat of Erie County. Their site is the biggest and most comprehensive Dethklok website in existence, to such an extent that they dropped out of Harvard to dedicate their lives to chronicle the band's every move. But despite their apparent devotion towards the band, the two brothers' greed and arrogance ultimately led to their undoing. Visiting Mordland as part of the annual open-house weekend that the group participates in, the two brothers secretly record the exclusive one-time only song Dethklok recorded and played for their visitors and used it as leverage for their scheme: which was to force Dethklok to pay Edgar and Eric a large sum of money in exchange for the two writing a positive review for their website. Their scheme would fail miserably, as the two brothers were lured into a sniper-filled hallway by Ofdensen. Eric was killed instantly as his head was blown clean off his body by one of Dethklok's sniper roadies the moment the door closed. Edgar however, remembering Ofdensen's cryptic advice regarding how to cross the narrow corridor beforehand, survived but was promptly imprisoned inside the band's dungeon. The shock of his brother's death in front of his very eyes, as well as the brutal torture inflicted upon him by the band's minions, drove Edgar insane: having recovered the remains of his brother's face from the incident, he makes them into a mask for a fellow imprisoned fan who is put into his cell. Traditionally insanity or madness is the behaviour whereby a person flouts societal norms and may become a danger to himself and others He digs his way out of the prison in the episode "Dethvengeance", the fan tied to his back despite the latter not being handicapped. He is captured by 216's brother after escaping through the sewage system, presumably because of his knowledge he gained of Mordhaus' sewer system when he was escaping. Edgar's last name, "Jomfru", is the Norwegian word for "Virgin". Perhaps a pun on the stereotypical image of the middle-aged, virginal computer-geek that Edgar and his brother seems to be based on. The word geek is a Slang term noting individuals as "a peculiar or otherwise odd person especially one who is perceived to be overly obsessed with one or more things

Pickles Family

Both of Pickles' parents and his older brother come to visit in "Dethfam". His parents are Calvert and Molly(voiced by Laraine Newman and Mark Hamill). Laraine Newman (born March 2, 1952) is an American Comedienne and actress. Mark Richard Hamill (born September 25, 1951) is an American Actor, Comedian and Voice actor. They reside in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. Tomahawk is a city in Lincoln County, Wisconsin, United States. Pickles' older brother (though Pickles is referred to as the big brother in "Deth Wedding") is Seth(voiced by Brendon Small), who Calvert and Molly favor despite the fact that he lives in their garage, is an ex-con, and has no known job. Brendon Small (born February 15, 1975 in Springfield, Illinois) is an American stand-up comedian, actor composer and Seth constantly tries to make money off of Pickles' fame, even threatening Pickles with identity theft. Identity theft is a term used to refer to Fraud that involves stealing money or getting other benefits by pretending to be someone else They return in "Deth Wedding", where Seth invites Dethklok to his wedding in order to further leech off of Pickles' wealth. After Pickles' gives him a blender as a wedding gift, he curses his brother out on stage; Pickles responds by severely beating him. Pickles feels bad about this later and wants to get his brother a job, so Ofdensen gives him the dangerous job of running Dethklok's Australian headquarters. The country quickly plummets into chaos as Seth uses national resources to protect himself from assassination attempts.

Dr. Jonathan Twinkletits

(Voiced by Brendon Small) Dr. Brendon Small (born February 15, 1975 in Springfield, Illinois) is an American stand-up comedian, actor composer and Jonathan Twinkletits (pronounced "twink-LET-its," deliberately avoiding the obvious pronunciation) is an insane band therapist hired in "Performance Klok" to keep Dethklok from having another fight on-stage. He awards the band members with banana stickers for good behavior. He was formerly a member of a band known as The Amazelingtons, whom he killed after they disbanded. He is seen calling his deceased bandmates and telling them he is in Dethklok, even though he knows they are already dead. After Nathan figures out that the band can simply buy banana stickers as psychological validation and fires Twinkletits, he attempts to kill them. However, he slips on a banana sticker and falls into Mordhaus' front yard before he can do anything. He survives the long fall, but is attacked by the "yard wolves". As shown in "Cleanzo", he survives the wolves, but his arms have been replaced with mechanical prosthetics, as well as unknown cybernetic enhancements, indicated by the slight metallic tinge to his voice after his reappearance. He helps Toki intervene in Dr. Rockzo's life and wean him off cocaine.

One-time characters

In each episode, the band will often meet with different people for various reasons, usually relating to their music. With a few exceptions, most of the people they meet are either killed or horribly mutilated, often by sheer coincidence.

Prince Henry of Denmark

Seen in "Birthdayface", Henry is the young heir to the throne of Denmark. The Kingdom of Denmark ( ˈd̥ænmɑɡ̊ (archaic ˈd̥anmɑːɡ̊ commonly known as Denmark, is a country in the Scandinavian region of northern Europe He is head-butted by his idol Murderface (fracturing his skull) after he unwisely approaches Murderface during his bass solo. A headbutt is a strike with the head typically involving the use of robust parts of the Cranium as areas of impact His face was autographed by Skwisgaar, injuring him further. He was last of the Danish royalty at the time of his mother's death from mercury poisoning. Mercury poisoning (also known as mercurialism, hydrargyria, Hunter-Russell syndrome, or acrodynia when affecting children is a Disease

Queen of Denmark

Introduced with her son, Henry, the Queen of Denmark (voiced by Metallica lead guitarist Kirk Hammett). Metallica is an American heavy metal band that formed in 1981 in. Kirk Lee Hammett (born November 18, 1962) is the Lead guitarist and a songwriter in the band Metallica and has been a member of the band At Murderface's birthday, she tries a sample of the mercury frosting before Jean-Pierre could stop her. Almost immediately, she vomits up pieces of her own flesh and died instantly.

Mustakrakish, the Lake Troll

Mustakrakish (voiced by Metallica frontman James Hetfield) is an ancient Finnish lake troll seen in "Dethtroll", awakened from his thousand-year slumber by Dethklok's questionable choice of taking a song from a necronomic spell book. Metallica is an American heavy metal band that formed in 1981 in. James Alan Hetfield (born August 3, 1963, in Downey California) is the main Songwriter, co-founder vocalist and Rhythm guitarist A troll is a fearsome member of a race of creatures from Norse mythology. The Necronomicon is a Fictional book appearing in the stories by horror novelist H The song was intended to be offered as a new national anthem in apology for almost destroying Finland on a previous tour. Mustakrakish, upon being awakened, simply repeats the destruction. After a failed attempt at a death metal lullaby, Mustakrakish exploded and died after tearing his organs out of his own throat and chest in an attempt to dislodge Murderface's Dethphone from its airway. A lullaby is a soothing Song, usually sung to Children before they go to sleep

Finnish bartender

To put Mustakrakish back to sleep, a nameless bartender (voiced by Metallica lead guitarist Kirk Hammett) introduces Dethklok to acoustic instruments ("grandpa's guitars", as Skwisgaar and Toki call them), necessitated by Mustakrakish's destruction of the power grid. Metallica is an American heavy metal band that formed in 1981 in. Lorkey the Sailor

Lorkey (voiced by Metallica frontman James Hetfield) is a sea captain that trains Dethklok to be funny for their comedy routines in "Dethkomedy". James Alan Hetfield (born August 3, 1963, in Downey California) is the main Songwriter, co-founder vocalist and Rhythm guitarist He committed suicide after realizing he couldn't teach them any more.

Nick Ibsen

Nick is a TV personality who bears a striking resemblance to Larry King in the episode "Dethfam. Larry King (born November 19, 1933) is an American television/radio host " After introducing Dethklok's family, Stella Murderface accidentally kills him when she rolls into the studio. Her Rascal scooter catches the cord of a stagelight, breaking it and causing the stagelight to fall on Nick. The metal cover slices his jugular vein, and the resulting blood pool then comes into contact with the wire, electrocuting him to death. The jugular veins are Veins that bring deoxygenated blood from the Head back to the heart via the Superior vena cava. This event gives Nathan the inspiration for the song "Bloodrocuted".

Dethklok's family

In "Dethfam", Nick Ibsen tracks down and brings in Dethklok's family, an act for which he is rewarded with death.

Skwisgaar's only family is Serveta Skwigelf, his promiscuous and neglectful single mother. She was formerly Miss Sweden 1956 (Ingrid Goude actually holds that title). This is about the beauty pageant For the 2004 film see Miss Sweden (film. Ingrid Goude (born 1937) is a model from Sandviken, Sweden. She became an actress in B-movie and Sci-fi motion pictures A news report claims that her bad parenting led to Skwisgar's guitar skill. She blames her son for her appearance, stating that she "could never lose the weight after [he was] born!"

Toki's parents are Anja and the Reverend Aslaug Wartooth, two extremely religious people who never speak, smile, or show any emotion whatsoever (they do briefly scream in a music video, however, and Aslaug is shown holding Toki's guitar in the studio). They live in an abandoned village near Lillehammer, Norway. Lillehammer is a town and municipality in the county of Oppland, Norway, globally known for hosting the 1994 Winter Olympics. In "Dethkids", Toki has a flashback to his childhood, in which his mother slaps him randomly for no apparent reason. This abuse and religious extremism is probably the reason why Toki doesn't utter a word in the episode.

Murderface was raised by Stella and Thunderbolt Murderface, his grandparents, after the chainsaw murder/suicide of his parents by his father. Thunderbolt suffered a massive stroke some time in the past (the lyrics he has in the "Dethfam" music video suggest it was around 30 years ago) and Stella tows him in a wagon behind her Rascal scooter until Murderface buys him a wheelchair controlled by blinking. A mobility scooter is a Mobility aid similar to a Wheelchair but configured like a Motorscooter. A wheelchair is a wheeled Mobility device in which the user sits Thunderbolt "sings" the only actual written lyrics of the song, "kill me," although they are computer generated. The term computer-generated most often refers to a sound or visual that has been created in whole or in part with the aid of Computer software.


Nathan's parents are Rose and Oscar Explosion. They live in Victory Gardens, an armed forces retirement community in Florida. Florida ( is a state located in the southeastern region of the United States, bordering Alabama to the northwest and Georgia to the Oscar is receptive to Serveta Skwigelf's attempts to seduce him, complains that he spent all his time with Rose after Nathan was born, and resents that he spent all of his beer money on raising Nathan. Rose confronts Nathan and says "You ruined my vagina!" and appears to be sensitive to accusations of racism. Snakes n' Barrels

Snakes n' Barrels is Pickles' first band, all of whom (aside from Pickles) fell on hard times after Pickles went to Dethklok. He kills two Dethklok employees while trying to get to Dethklok, but is himself killed by being impaled face-first on Murderface's codpiece after being tripped by the real Dethklok employee #216 (a dwarfish man who was paralyzed in the fight with Crozier's 216). 421 is one of Dethklok's roadies and a microphone cleaner. He is part of the Sector 18 recording studio maintenance clean team. He underwent an employee evaluation along with all of Dethklok's employees in "Murdering Outside The Box". Nathan asks if he is the one embezzling money from Dethklok, to which he truthfully responds "No". When Pickles asks him a nonsensical question written by Skwisgaar, he has no difficulty in answering to Skwisgaar's satisfaction. 421 was married to a woman named Rachel (whom he has since divorced) and has two children, Amanda and Scott. His birthday is revealed to be two weeks after the employee evaluation, and the band members are satisfied with his performance.

Mashed Potato Johnson is the oldest living blues guitarist, having supposedly made a deal with the devil for blues talent. Prayer Bolt is Christian rock band featured in "Religionklok". Christian rock (occasionally abbreviated CR) is a form of Rock music played by bands whose members are Christians and who often focus the lyrics on Dethklok attended their show to help Murderface find religion. The lead singer is killed when he stage dives onto a board exposed by Toki when he tries to start a "Christian rock mosh pit". A priest in the Church of Satan in the episode "Religionklok", he nearly succeeds in converting Dethklok to Satanism. Rebecca (voiced by Laura Silverman) is Nathan's demanding, shrewish girlfriend, a professional tennis player turned sitcom actress and model. Laura Jane Silverman ( 10 June 1966, in Bedford, New Hampshire) is an American actress / voice actress, and the Tennis is a sport played between two players ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles) She is controlling and never allows Nathan to speak. He admits that he is afraid of her and his hatred for her is "the most brutal thing ever. " When he finally prepares to break up with her, prompted by a brutal beating at the hands of his band mates, she falls down several flights of stairs, ending up disfigured and in a coma. In Medicine, a coma (from the Greek koma, meaning deep sleep is a profound state of Unconsciousness. Nathan avoids ending their relationship after this since she is now the "ultimate" girlfriend, being unable to terrorize him.

James is the head of Behemoth Productions, which produces Dethklok's horrifically bad $500,000,000 film, Blood Ocean, in "Dethstars". Adam is the upbeat, sincere director of Blood Ocean. He attempts to get Skwisgaar to speak more understandably, but in doing so forgets his contractual obligation to not direct, note, or berate Dethklok in any way because it sickens them. He is subsequently fired for breach of contract and commits suicide after Toki makes an offhand comment about him hanging himself. His name is a dual reference to Adam Darski, or "Nergal", the founder, lyricist, main composer, frontman and manager of blackened death metal band Behemoth. Paul Andrew "Andy" Richter (born October 28 1966 is an American Comedian and actor He was impaled with a forklift driven by Pickles, although it is uncertain if this act killed him, as he still appeared in the film. Alfred Belmer

Belmer, is a vicious killer who specializes in cannibalizing infants and toddlers. He was scheduled to be executed in Dethklok's big return concert, a prospect he despised due to his hatred of Dethklok. He escapes along with many other prisoners after Dethklok's massive walking stage destroys the prison wall. The end credits of the episode show that he promptly returns to his original habits.

Dethklok's doubles

Dethklok's doubles are five look-alikes hired by Ofdensen to stand-in for Dethklok at public appearances, which they had become less than enthusiastic about attending (that Murderface's sawed-off shotgun going off accidentally triggered a brutal massacre also motivated him). In actuality, they are a team of highly-skilled soldiers under General Crozier's command, tasked with retrieving a briefcase containing Duncan Hills Coffee contracts. The band treats them like best friends, despite Ofdensen's repeated reminders that their express purpose is to die in Dethklok's place. Though eventually successful in their task, they are severely disfigured (losing the briefcase in the process) after brewing coffee in the vent of a dormant volcano activates it, bubbling superheated coffee over the edge and burning them alive. Having outlived their usefulness, Ofdensen convinces Dethklok to fire them. While attempting to do so, Murderface's sawed-off shotgun goes off again, killing at least one of them. Nathan's double is voiced by Dimmu Borgir bassist and former Arcturus vocalist ICS Vortex. Dimmu Borgir (ˌdɪmuːˈbɔːrɡɪr is a Symphonic black metal band from Norway. Eric von Wiechlinghammer is a German fashion designer who was sent to jail after starving 57 models to death. He is paroled early to design Dethklok's new clothing line. It is later revealed that he used the skin of the models he starved as the leather for his clothes, and skinned even more women after that upon running out of his original stock. Dethklok discovers this gruesome detail when they show up unannounced at his home (to the consternation of his two attendants, Johan and Gunther) to fire him for making them have to lose weight and calling them fat. He is voiced by Ihsahn, and his attendants are voiced by Samoth and Trym Torson of Emperor. Blammymatazz is the guitarist and namesake of the band Zazz Blammymatazz. He is shown briefly in a documentary about Dr. Rockzo, where in an interview he refers to Rockzo as an energetic "firecracker" of a lead singer. A firecracker (also known as a cracker, noise maker, banger or bunger) is a small Explosive device primarily designed to produce He also reveals that Rockzo insisted on being paid in cocaine, and called Rockzo "paranoid" once backstage after Rockzo accused the band members of taking his banana. Liz is Pickles' P. R who was a religious radical from the 70's. According to the Tribunal, she started dozens of cults including one that resulted on the death of one hundred French citizens but she was cleared of all charges. She starts her latest cult by making Pickles the biggest celebrity in the planet by having him appear everywhere in the media, and gains thousands of followers who she tortures and brainwashes. She then plans for a concert the night that Nile's Comet nears for Earth, where the most devoted followers will drink poisoned grapeade, and Dethklok put on a special platform that would have the comet kill them. She will then escape with her follower's possessions. Her plan fails, after the Dethklok space publicity tablet crashes into the comet, which explodes into many pieces one of which destroys her car, killing her.
