The Castle of Florac (Le Château de Florac) is a 13th century castle located in the French town of Florac, in Lozère, in south-central France. Florac is a commune of the Lozère département, in France. Florac is twinned with L'Anse-Saint-Jean Quebec Lozère (in Occitan Losera) is a department in southeast France near the Massif Central.

It originally belonged to the Barony of Anduze and passed through a number of feudal families. Anduze is a commune in the Gard department in southern France. It was rebuilt in 1652 after the religious wars. The French Wars of Religion (1562 to 1598 between French Catholics and Protestants ( Huguenots involved both civil infighting During the French Revolution, the castle turned into a "salt loft" for storing salt.
