Cephalopsetta ventrocellatus is a species of large-tooth flounder, the only member of the genus Cephalopsetta. Large-tooth flounders are a family Paralichthyidae, of Flounders They lie on the sea bed on their right side both eyes are on the left side of the head
It is native to the Indian Ocean, from the Gulf of Oman in the west to the Andaman Sea in the east.
