The Central Queensland Ports Authority is statutory body owned by the Government of Queensland. The Government of Queensland is commonly known as the Queensland Government.
It operates the Port of Gladstone and Port Alma. The Port of Gladstone is the fifth largest multi cargo port in Australia and the largest port in Queensland by volume of goods handled
It was formed on 1 July 2004 following the merger of the Gladstone Port Authority and the Rockhampton Port Authority.
