Centaurus Cluster

Chandra X-ray image showing the inner 6. The Chandra X-ray Observatory is a Satellite launched on STS-93 by NASA on July 23, 1999. X-radiation (composed of X-rays) is a form of Electromagnetic radiation. 7 arcminutes of the core of the Centaurus cluster. This image shows the hot intracluster medium, at temperatures of a few tens of million kelvins. In Astronomy, the intracluster medium (or ICM is the superheated gas present at the center of a Galaxy cluster.

In common usage a constellation is a group of celestial bodies that are connected together in some arrangement typically stars to form a visible figure or picture Centaurus ( Centaur) is a bright constellation of the southern hemisphere. The Centaurus Cluster (A3526) is a cluster of hundreds of galaxies, located approximately 155 million light years away in the Centaurus constellation. In Astronomy, declination (abbrev dec or δ) is one of the two coordinates of the Equatorial coordinate system, the other being either NGC 4696 is an Elliptical galaxy. It lies around 150 million light years away in the Constellation Centaurus. The Abell catalog of rich clusters of galaxies is an all-sky catalog of 4073 rich Galaxy clusters of nominal Redshift z = 0 Galaxy groups and clusters are the largest Gravitationally bound objects to have arisen thus far in the process of cosmic structure formation This page lists some of the more interesting Galaxy clusters and groups Galaxy groups and clusters are the largest Gravitationally bound objects to have arisen thus far in the process of cosmic structure formation A galaxy is a massive gravitationally bound system consisting of Stars an Interstellar medium of gas and dust, and Dark matter A light-year or light year (symbol ly) is a unit of Length, equal to just under ten trillion Kilometres As defined by Centaurus ( Centaur) is a bright constellation of the southern hemisphere. The brightest member galaxy is the elliptical galaxy NGC 4696 (~11m). An elliptical galaxy is a Galaxy belonging to one of the three main classes of galaxy originally described by Edwin Hubble (whose name was dedicated NGC 4696 is an Elliptical galaxy. It lies around 150 million light years away in the Constellation Centaurus. The Centaurus cluster shares its supercluster, the Hydra-Centaurus Supercluster, with IC4329 Cluster and Hydra Cluster. The Hydra-Centaurus Supercluster, or the Hydra and Centaurus superclusters, is a Supercluster in two parts and the closest Neighbour of The Hydra Cluster (or Abell 1060) is a cluster of galaxies that contains 157 bright galaxies and can be viewed from earth in the constellation

The cluster consists of two different sub-groups of galaxies with different velocities[2]. Cen 30 is the main subgroup containing NGC 4696. NGC 4696 is an Elliptical galaxy. It lies around 150 million light years away in the Constellation Centaurus. Cen 45 is moving at 1500 km/s relative to Cen 30, and is believed to be merging with the main cluster.
