Background
Caballero frequently fights in the southpaw stance, but he can switch to orthodox to fit the fighting style of his opponent. Southpaw is a Boxing term that designates the normal stance for a Left-handed boxer An Orthodox stance in combat sports such as boxing and karate refers to someone who boxes right-handed as opposed to a left-handed fighter who is referred to as a Southpaw.
Besides being the WBA world super-bantamweight champion, Caballero is also a reggae singer. Reggae is a Music genre first developed in Jamaica in the late 1960s
Professional career
Early in his career, Caballero won five minor boxing championships: the Panamanian, WBA Fedecentro, WBA Fedelatin, WBO Latino, and NABA super bantamweight titles. The World Boxing Organization ( WBO) is a sanctioning organization currently recognizing professional Boxing world champions [1]
He had won the first four of his titles and had a record of 17-0 before losing by a third round knockout to José Rojas on May 16, 2003. Caballero fought against WBA world super-bantamweight champion Somsak Sithchatchawal in Sithchatchawal's native country of Thailand on October 4, 2006 in order to win the real WBA title.
