Rural Municipality of Cartier is part of the Central Plains Region in the province of Manitoba, Canada. Central Plains is the name given to a region in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It is named after Sir George-Étienne Cartier who was a leader in bringing Quebec into Confederation.
