The station also has three rebroadcasters in northwestern Alberta: CFXH in Hinton, CFXP in Jasper, and CFXG in Grande Cache. CKBA in Athabasca, CFOK in Westlock, CHSL in Slave Lake and CKVH in High Prairie also simulcast some of CFXE's programming while originating some programming locally as well. CHSL-FM is a classic hits Radio station in Slave Lake, Alberta, Canada. All four of those stations also use the Fox branding.
History
- CFXE started on April 4, 1968 as CJYR on 970 kHz, with 10,000 watts power.
- In 2005, the station was bought by Newcap Broadcasting and was relaunched as "The FOX"
- In 2007, the station was moved to 94. Newfoundland Capital Corporation Limited () doing business as Newcap Broadcasting, is a major Canadian Broadcasting company 3 MHz with 11,000 watts power.
