There is evidence of occupation of the site during the Bronze Age and Roman periods. Church
The Church of the Holy Trinity is from the 15th century and was restored in 1884. It is a grade I listed building. A listed building in the United Kingdom is a building or other structure officially designated as being of special architectural historical or cultural significance [5] It contains a stained-glass window, with the arms of the Capels of Langford Court. The tower contains a bell dating from 1713 and made by Edward Bilbie of the Bilbie family. The Bilbie family were bell founders and Clockmakers based initially in Chew Stoke, Somerset and later at Cullompton, Devon [6]
