It is located on the Robin Hood Line and the Hucknall branch of the Nottingham Express Transit. History The current Robin Hood Line never previously existed as it does now it being formed from two formerly separate railways Hucknall, formerly known as Hucknall Torkard is a town in Nottinghamshire, England, in the district of Ashfield. Nottingham Express Transit (or in short NET) is a light-rail Tramway in the Nottingham area in England.

The station is included in the PlusBus scheme where train and bus tickets can be bought together giving a saving on the cost of separate tickets. PLUSBUS is an add-on ticket which can be purchased with rail tickets in the UK. It is in the same PlusBus area as Beeston, Nottingham, Netherfield and Carlton stations. Rail

Monday to Saturday there is generally an hourly service from Hucknall southbound to Nottingham. There is one train per hour northbound, terminating at Mansfield Woodhouse with only limited services to Worksop because these trains don't stop at this station during peak times. Mansfield Woodhouse is a small town about 2 km north of Mansfield itself in Nottinghamshire, England. Worksop is a town in the Bassetlaw district of Nottinghamshire, England on the River Ryton at the northern edge of Sherwood Forest There is no service on Sundays this station used to have 2 rail platforms and terminated at newstaed but there is a tram platform now

Central Trains have been replaced by a new company called East Midlands Trains which operate all services in the East Midlands. East Midlands Trains ( EMT) is a train operating company operating in the United Kingdom. The franchise is operated by the Stagecoach group who have expressed an interest in running Sunday service from December 2008 but it is unknown if this station will be included for a Sunday service.
