From 1986 to 1991, Davis was chairman and CEO of Activision. Taking over from Jim Levy immediately after the acquisition of Infocom, Davis has been widely blamed for Activision's mishandling of the Infocom properties and other poor business decisions that eventually led the company into Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
