Newmark graduated from Harvard College, receiving a BA in History in 1980. Parliamentary career
Newmark contested Newcastle Central in 1997, and Braintree in 2001. Newcastle upon Tyne Central is a Constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. He was elected as the Member of Parliament for Braintree (in mid Essex) in the 2005 general election over Labour incumbent Alan Hurst.
