Broglio is a village and former municipality in the district of Vallemaggia in the canton of Ticino, Switzerland. The district of Vallemaggia is a district of the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. It was first recorded in year 1361 as Brono.

The municipality had 280 inhabitants in the 17th century, which declined via 109 in 1850, 153 in 1870, 108 in 1900, 57 in 1910, 73 in 1950 and 88 in 2000.

In 2004 the municipality was merged with the other, neighboring municipalities Brontallo, Fusio, Menzonio, Peccia and Prato-Sornico to form a new and larger municipality Lavizzara.
