Britt Allcroft (born Britney Allcroft in Johannesburg,South Africa) was the co-founder of The Britt Allcroft Company with then-husband Angus Wright, known as Britt Allcroft Limited (later replaced as Gullane Entertainment) which was sold & acquired by HIT Entertainment in 2002. Johannesburg ( Pronounced /jō-hān'ĭs-bûrg'/ is the largest city in South Africa. The Republic of South Africa (also known by other official names) is a country located at the southern tip of the continent of Africa The Britt Allcroft Company was a company created by Britt Allcroft and Angus Wright in 1983 Angus Wright was a British television producer He and his then-wife Britt Allcroft created The Britt Allcroft Company in 1984. Gullane Entertainment was a company that produced TV shows for the whole family and was formerly called The Britt Allcroft Company. HIT Entertainment PLC was established in 1989, and was originally the international distribution arm of Jim Henson Productions called Henson International Allcroft is well known for her creation of the children's television series Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends and its US counterpart Shining Time Station. Children's television series are Television programs designed for and marketed to Children normally broadcast during the Morning and Afternoon The United States of America —commonly referred to as the Shining Time Station was an American Television sequel of Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends series co-created by Britt Allcroft She was also the screenwriter and director of the motion picture Thomas and the Magic Railroad. Thomas and the Magic Railroad is a 2000 American Film based on the well-known TV series Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends She further created the TV show Magic Adventures of Mumfie, which is a show about a magical elephant. Television ( TV) is a widely used Telecommunication medium for sending ( Broadcasting) and receiving moving Images, either monochromatic Britt Allcroft's Magic Adventures of Mumfie is an animated Children's television series created by Britt Allcroft in 1994. Elephants ( family: Elephantidae) are large land Mammals of the order Proboscidea. She also provided the voice for the character Lillie Lightship for the show TUGS. Lillie Lightship is a fictional character who appeared in the 1988 television series TUGS, created by the producers of Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends. TUGS is a British Children's television series, first broadcast in 1989

In May of 2000 Allcroft was a director and advisor of Gullane but by 2003 (a year after Gullane was sold & acquired by HIT), Allcroft had resigned from her remaining positions with the company. This was attributed to the poor reception of Thomas and the Magic Railroad. [1]

She is currently working on a new live-action kids show called The Scoobs.
