Brian Johnson (born October 5, 1947) is a British singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist for the Australian hard rock band, AC/DC since April 1980. Biography

Brian Johnson was born on October 5, 1947. Johnson's father, Allan, was a Sergeant Major of the British Army's Durham Light Infantry; his mother, Esther, came from Italy. A Sergeant Major is a rank or appointment in many militaries around the world The British Army is the land armed forces branch of the British Armed Forces. The Durham Light Infantry (DLI was formed in 1881 from the 68th Regiment of Foot which had originally been raised in County Durham Italy (Italia officially the Italian Republic, (Repubblica Italiana is located on the Italian Peninsula in Southern Europe, and on the two largest ^[1] When he was young, Johnson performed in various shows with the Scouts, and appeared in a play which aired on television, and joined a local church choir. The Scout Association is the World Organization of the Scout Movement recognised Scouting association in the United Kingdom ^[2] Brian has a wife named Brenda. ^[3]

At the AC/DC audition, Johnson sang the songs; "Whole Lotta Rosie" and "Nutbush City Limits" (Ike & Tina Turner). " Whole Lotta Rosie " is a song by Australian Hard rock band AC/DC. " Nutbush City Limits " is Tina Turner 's semi-autobiographical rock song in which she portrays Nutbush Tennessee, the town where she was born and Ike & Tina Turner were an American Rock & roll and soul duo made of the husband-and-wife team of Ike Turner and Tina Turner ^[2] A few days later, the band told Johnson he would be the new vocalist of AC/DC.
