Pierce is a 1987 provincial junior champion skip, and a two time provincial champion, former national and world champion playing third for Greg McAulay. Greg McAulay (born January 2, 1960 in Winnipeg Manitoba) is a Canadian World champion curler from Richmond British Columbia Currently, Pierce skips his own team.

Pierce's 1987 Vancouver team of Darin Fentin, Bryan Miki, and Ross Graham won the provincial championships, qualifying them for the '87 Canadian Junior Curling Championships in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Two years later, Team McAulay won the BC championships once again, and this time also won the 2000 Labatt Brier. The 2000 Labatt Brier was held March 4 - 12 at Saskatchewan Place in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. They defeated Russ Howard's New Brunswick team in the final. This qualified the team to the World Curling Championships, where they represented Canada. The World Curling Championships are annual Curling events which showcase the world's best curlers organized by the World Curling Federation.
