Brøndby is actually 3 cities. Brøndbyvester (West), Brøndbyøster (East) and to the south Brøndby Strand. Brøndbyvester is the "original" Brøndby and have a couple of old farm houses, but mostly there's a lot of single family houses, this is a typical middle-class Danish suburb.

Brøndbyøster is East of the big intersection that parts the 3 different Brøndby's. The city is one big housing project with high-rise residential buildings (Brøndby Strand Projects '93[1]), this part of the city has many older people and immigrants. Brøndby Strand is actually a mix of those two cities. There are lot of single-family houses and 12 high-rise residential estates. This area has often been referred to as a ghetto. Many immigrants live in Brøndby Strand and the area alongside with Vallensbæk, Ishøj and Hundige.
