Bobbie learned the truth about Carly, who was now engaged to Tony and carrying his baby. Bobbie found out that Luke had known the truth about Carly for years and did not tell her. Eventually, they formed a mother-daughter relationship. The birth of her first grandson, Michael helped the relationship. Bobbie then fell for Jerry Jacks. Bobbie's son, Lucas, decided to tell his family and friends that he was gay and Bobbie, after some initial denial, accepted him for who he is.

During the encephalitis outbreak in 2006, her ex-husband Tony became sick and later died while she was on duty at the hospital.

Lately, Bobbie has been a backburner character. She was seen comforting Monica Quartermaine after the death of her daughter Emily and was seen at Georgie Jones funeral.
