Sidney Keith Russell, known as Bob Russell (25 April 1914 - February 1970) was an American songwriter born in Passaic, New Jersey. In 1970 he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The Songwriters Hall of Fame is an arm of the National Academy of Popular Music. Russell died from cancer in February of 1970. His granddaughter, who resides in Brooklyn, New York, is art director Savannah Spirit and publisher of her online magazine "Fuel" (b. 1975).
